What we are asking for
One thing only: what you were told you would get, and what you actually got. First-hand experience — something you paid for, sat through, or were sold. If you are writing on behalf of someone you know, say so and tell us what they told you.
How this works
- Every submission is read before it counts. We check each account and set aside anything we cannot make sense of. An unchecked pile of complaints is worth nothing to a reader and unfair to the business.
- Nothing is published without your say-so. The consent box on the form controls whether your words can be quoted. Unticked, your account still counts toward the findings, but nothing you wrote appears anywhere.
- We never pass your details to getcracked.io. Not your name, not your email, not the fact that you wrote in.
- We report patterns, not one-off accusations. The report will describe what recurs across accounts, and will say plainly how many people it heard from and what could not be verified.
- Positive accounts are wanted too. If your experience was good, that belongs in the record. A collection that only accepts complaints is not a record, it is a campaign.
What we are not
We are not a regulator, a law firm, or a consumer body, and we cannot recover your money or act on your behalf. If you believe you have been defrauded, the people who can actually act are the FTC, your state attorney general, and your card issuer or bank. Telling us is not a substitute for telling them.
